 :: old barn across the street from my parents in law :: :: just in time, in the last hours of the old year! first of all thanks so much everyone for all the lovely christmas greetings! i hope you all had a good time in good spirit! :: like last year, we took a trip home up north to our families :: in germany christmas is a 2 1/2 day holiday, since christmas eve was on a sunday, this year it was 3 days, which we divided between our families :: naturally, this was a lot of driving :: also, not unexpected: we had so so much very good food :: :: since i am back home, there are two things noteworthy :: me and t visited friends in cologne, where we had such a good time :: i really like cologne a lot :: it is big, yet cozy and charming, pretty little stores and cafés are all around ------ ! husband just entered waving a sparkler at me :) ! ------. it is in short inspiring and so are our friends. thank you so much e & n for the lovely day and evening! we enjoyed it so much!! we both returned late yet revived and inspired, it felt like a one day vacation :: :: i was infact so revived and inspired, that the declutter-bug bit me yesterday and i turned our living room upside down. this is very familiar to me: around this time of the year, there are people who think of good intentions for the new year - i tend to think: wait, there are still so many things that can get done in the old year!! so, by now i can say, the new year can come: i looked through tons of stuff, sorted a lot of things out, reorganized and decluttered things :: i have to say i'm proud and a little exhausted :: ever since having read clear your clutter with feng shui by karen kingston a couple of years ago i try to follow the ideal, that if i should need to move tomorrow, i only need to dispose one bag of garbage :: i like the idea of travelling light and having room for new ideas :: however, i didn't succeed yet in the karen kingston ideal, but i try ;) :: :: so, since i cleaned out a little, the new year can come for me: i'm kind of excited for it, because it is very uncertain what it will have in store for me :: sometimes, when a new year comes, it feels as though it is all laid out and predictable, too :: not for me this year :: there will be major changes - or not? :: are changes on the outside changes on the inside, too? :: i wonder where it will all lead to... :: :: a beautiful new year to everyone :: have a good transition and wishing you joy and luck for the new year !! :: thanks all for making my blog-experience such a good one, this place has been so much fun for me, which is way beyond what i ever expected :: be well all in the new year !! :: posted by anne Dec 31, 2006 - 18:09 archived under: all, places, polaroid all images under copyright © all rights reserved
