 :: whew! the first week of the new year went by like a whirlwind! not unexpected, i might add. i thought i would be able to post earlier, but not unlike me i overestimated me and my time management :) :: :: the new year started, and it really really started here for me with a lot, a lot, a lot of work. i still feel very good and lighthearted (sort of!) which is a strange experience...when the clock struck for the new year i had such a very good feeling about the new year that hasn't changed since. we had a lovely little celebration and there was just this good spirit and sparkle in the air, which since then has lasted for me. also, we watched the most amazing fireworks all around here and they somehow seemed brighter for me this year. i can't remember a new years eve, when i felt this way. it is good :: :: i have been enjoying so many great lists some of you wrote about your new year resolutions. although i myself don't really do new years resolutions - i feel like reflection about change is a good thing all year round and changes can be made everyday - i thought this was most inspiring. almost immediately, some things i'd love to do maybe next year, somehow in the near future came up to me. so, here's my little activity list for 07 with things i'd love to do: - get back more to drawing, watercolors and my sketchbooks - take a figure drawing class - take a ceramics class - explore oil painting - get back to running and yoga (regularly i might add :)) - do more baking and cooking - be more outdoors - be more by the sea - explore more unfamilliar places - travel more - be and spend more time with friends - do more for others - paint at least one wall in my immediate surroundings a different color than white (i can still paint it over, if i don't like it, right?) - be still less perfect - take better care of myself - worry and pressure myself less - be balanced ::" immer werden wir so bleiben, jung & frei & schön" :: "we stay this way always, young & free & beautiful" :: :: i'll make this my motto for 07 :: listen to the sound of juli and the song "wir beide" here (just click the video) :: now on a completely different note: i still feel pretty new to the blog world & i'm still figuring out a way to handle all your comments, that i enjoy so very much. today i started to answer all your lovely comments in the comments section. i thought i'd try that out for a while and i hope that this way my time table will be a little more organized. so, for my responses please check back in the comments section of the last post :: :: have a lovely weekend :: i'll be back next week :: posted by anne Jan 05, 2007 - 18:00 archived under: all, polaroid, pretty things all images under copyright © all rights reserved
